Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge Charity Auction
Kia ora St Hilda's community,
I am contacting you today on behalf of the newly rebranded Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge Fundraising Committee 2023. We are a University of Otago student-led group and we organise a yearly fundraising appeal to support the Whānau Refuge. We are excited to invite you to buy tickets to our annual auction night, taking place again this year! Our auction will be held on Friday 18 August 2023, at 7pm in the Josephine Foyer, Toitū Museum.
This event has been very successful in the past: last year we raised over $33,000 for Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge. In Aotearoa New Zealand, 55% of women experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge does incredible work in our community to support women and children experiencing family violence. We look forward to supporting their efforts to provide advocacy, safehouses, necessities, and a variety of support services for those in need.
This year our tickets prices are $65 per person, or $60 per person for a table of 8. Included in the ticket are alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages which have been kindly donated locally and nationally from across New Zealand. Additionally, a delicious range of canapés will be provided!
There are some fantastic items for sale this year, including holiday packages, Dunedin restaurant vouchers, art, wine, jewellery and more!

Ngā mihi,
