Student Achievements this week ...

Equestrian:

Congratulations to Neave O'Connell (Year 9) and her horse Beechcroft Le Dance who recently won the 1.00m Pony Championship title at the NZ Jumping and Show Hunter Championship. This competition is judged over 5 rounds and 3 days. Neave took the lead after the speed round day 1, a rail in the 2nd round dropped her to second position over night on day 2 , she and muppet held their nerve for double clears on day 3 to take the title. Neave also on her leased pony  Tallyho Ruby (Ruby) won the  NZ National Pony Raising Star Championship Category C -80cm. Neave and Ruby also finished in the top 10  for an 8th in the  NZ National Jumping Championship Pony 90cm Emerging Talent

Water Polo
Congratulations to Ruby Aspinall, Annabelle Webster, Bella Harwood, Inge Erasmus, Victoria Aburn and Evie Gilmour for their selection in the U/14 Otago Water Polo team. These players competed in Division 2 at the National Tournament in Auckland early in the school holidays and managed to secure gold. A great effort was shown by these up and coming young players! 

Netball

Well done to the following students who have been named in the Netball South Steel Steps development or accelerator programmes:

Camryn Tutty, Charlee Farquhar, Bella McEntyre, Pippa Williams, Tessa Steele, Ruby Hore, Aya Moetaua, Grace Bamber and Kyla Ashton.

Touch

Wishing all the best to the following players who are representing Otago at the Touch Nationals:

Our next beginner’s fencing course for adults and children aged over 8 starts on Wednesday the 12 February, 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

This five-week course is $90 including use of gear.
