My Next Move Pathways Speedmeet
Year 11 joined 700 other year 10 and 11 pupils across Dunedin secondary schools at the My Next Move Pathways Speedmeet last Tuesday.
This was an opportunity to hear from a wide range of career pathways, represented by the 40 role models across 17 organisations in attendance.
Careers represented included everything from law and architecture, to panel beating, midwifery, pharmacy and engineering.
Our learners all meet with six role models for 5-6 mins each across a wide range of careers, followed by some Expo time, allowing them to seek out any they may have missed.
Run by the My Next Move programme, which is part of Business South’s Pathways Hub, the event was first run in 2021 and was back by popular demand from schools. It's hoped this will become an annual event.
