Sports Department

Rachael Parker & Erin Wellington —

Term 2 has been very busy for the Sports Department. It has been brilliant getting all our winter sports underway.

The term started with our first annual school event, the cross country. Ross Creek is a beautiful location for this event and the sun shone. With a few small tweaks and a new 'House Banner' competition, school house rivalry was well underway. Congratulations to Nelson House that took this competition out!

Throughout the term we have seen some great results in a variety of sports from cross country, taekwondo, clay trap shooting, equestrian, swimming, to our more mainstream sports of netball, rugby and hockey.

Every sport and team are still battling with the constant rotation of sickness within the group and injuries. Thank you to everyone that has helped in ensuring the health and safety of our players is at the forefront of our minds.

As the holidays and Term 3 roll around, we look forward to the tournament season. This year, St Hilda's will be hosting the Winter Quadrangular Tournament. The school looks forward to seeing Columba, Craighead and St Margaret's in August.
