Athletics:

Last weekend 6 SHCS students competed at the SISS Athletic Champs. Initially this event was postponed, so it was great that the organisation was able to hold it before end of the season.

Results:

• Billie Crowe: 2nd 800m U15
  
• Zara Geddes: 3rd 1500m U16, 2nd 3000m U16, 2nd 2000m Open steeplechase.
  
• Sophia Le: 12th Long Jump U16
  
• Renee Willis: 1st in Shot Put U16, 3rd in Hammer Throw
  
• Bernice Cullen: 1st Long Jump U19, 3rd in triple jump
  
• Emma McKay: 7th in Long Jump U19

Water Sports:

Congratulations to Charlotte Aburn who competed in the Otago Primary Swimming Champs and finished first in the 50m Freestyle and broke the record.  

Lucia Luxton competed that the North Island Diving Champs and finished second in the 5m board.

Equestrian:

Well done to Katie Moore (yr 9) and Zara Geddes (yr 11) who have been selected to represent Otago/Southland at the NZ Pony Club Eventing Champs.

Futsal:

Our Senior Red Futsal team finished their Term 1 strong by winning the final on Thursday night against Otago Girls 3-2.
