On Thursday 22nd October here at St Hilda's, in our beloved drama suite, 20 Senior NCEA Dance students performed a range of choreographies from Tangaroa, a Year 11 choreography piece based on Kowhaiwhai patterns, to All That Jazz, a Year 11 and 12 Fosse inspired performance.

Notably, 3 Year 13 Dance students created large scale dance productions where everything from movement, costume to lighting was selected purposefully by the students and developed into a meaningful concept. A special shout out to those dancers who volunteered to perform in these productions - we have such a strong dance community here at St Hilda's.

I was extremely proud of the girls and how well they performed considering the challenging year we have had. All dancers performed amazingly to a crowd of loving, supportive whānau and friends.
