Year 10 Textiles fabric sourcing

Last week the Year 10 Textiles class had the opportunity to source their fabric for the Tote bag and Pajamas from Spotlight. The students have been working hard on developing their design skills throughout the unit and on the trip they used their research knowledge to select the fabric of their choice.

There was much discussion between the teachers, students and the staff at Spotlight regarding colour, pattern and fabric content. This trip always creates a buzz amongst the students as they know making their outcomes is just around the corner.

This week they have learnt about the fundamentals of fabric layouts and cutting fabric with precision.
