Year 7 and 8

Gemma Oliver-Cowie —

It has been a year filled with activity and achievement for the students in Year 7 and 8. The progress of these students, both academically and personally, has been truly commendable. They have consistently demonstrated enthusiasm for various opportunities that have come their way. I would like to express my gratitude to each of them for their dedication and effort in their learning, personal development and for their valuable contributions to our school community.

With the challenges of Covid now somewhat behind us, we were fortunate to experience memorable moments, including the Year 7 and 8 Camp at Camp Columba and the recent Activity Day at Leap Clip n Climb.

In the last week of school, we were delighted to host three White Ferns, one of whom was an alumna, Eden Carson. Additionally, the students enjoyed a session at Moana Pool, making a splash on the Hydro Slide.

It has been a privilege to work alongside these exceptional young individuals throughout the year. As we bid farewell to the Year 8 students, I extend my heartfelt wishes for their success as they transition into secondary school.

Meri Kirihimete and Happy New Year to all.
