Level 2 Physical Education - Becky Greene

Currently, our Level 2 Physical Education students are in the process of developing and implementing a training programme for their upcoming 10km run. We were very fortunate to have Becky Greene, an Old Girl of St Hilda's Collegiate, and international long distance athlete present to them.

Becky spoke about her journey with running and shared her knowledge on how to train and prepare for long distance runs. Her current goal is to qualify for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in the 1500m. To do this, she needs to travel overseas to compete in World Athletics bronze, silver and gold meets to get the best opportunity to earn valuable world working points in order to qualify.

She is a self-funded athlete and is currently fundraising to attend these meets. If you would like to show your support, you could either enter her raffle via her Facebook page or show your support without entering the raffle by contributing to her Give-a-Little fundraiser. The link to the Give a Little page is here.

A massive thanks to Becky for coming along and sharing all her wisdom with us during class and we can't wait to be cheering her on, from afar, at the 2023 Athletics Championship!
