Tolcarne News

Kia ora Tolcarne whānau. It has been a busy week with winter sports getting underway. Monday was back to its usual craziness, with lots of hockey games taking place and our Year 9s wearing the blue striped dress for the first time! We look forward to seeing how all the sports teams get on over the winter season.

On Tuesday we got the icing bags out and had a go at cupcake decorating  With all sorts of colours, fondant and toppings, there was a large variety of funky designs!

Koru was on for the Year 10s this week, getting started on a new unit. Throughout this session, we spoke about our 'armor' and how we might react in different situations to protect ourselves. This was very reflective, where each student made a booklet with a positive response side and one that was more armored. Everyone was open to sharing different responses they have and steps they could take to remove a bit of their 'armor'. Well done to the Year 10s

This year the Tolcarne Whanau are fundraising for the Breast Cancer Foundation, holding a Pink Ribbon Breakfast, Bake Sale and Raffle.
