Arts Department
This week we held our Arts Assembly in the gym. It was a showcase of students with Hip Hop, Aerobics, Kapa Haka and a performance from Sings Hilda. Many thanks to our courageous performers.
It was a great showcase of the co-curricular activities on offer. It has been wonderful to see students enthusiasm and passion for involvement in these activities come together and be celebrated as a school. Thank you to Maia Lamb and Ella Smillie (Arts Prefects) for organising such a great event.
Inter-School Theatre Sports - This was a wonderful opportunity for students from Logan Park, Kings and John McGlashan to get together. Hosted by Alumni, Eve Scott it was a chance for members to up-skill on character, listening and story telling while having loads of fun.
NZ young writers festival and Eliana Gray (our creatives in schools), on Thursday celebrated work generated by our students in the Arts Department at the Writers' Block show - 26 Princes St. This showcase of sculpture, dance, drama, painting and collage came together to prove there is poetry wherever you look for it. Viewing under Level 2 is only on Sunday at the Zine Fest!
