The International Department

Well you blink and the term is over it seems, but in and amongst the hard work and study we have had some fun.

We are a small, but fabulous group this year with no new students being able to join us!!

The 8 girls that are here were unable to go home over the summer period to see family and friends so we had some Kiwi adventures instead.

We did a lot of activities in and around Dunedin, 10 pin bowling, rock pooling at Brighton beach, Leap, going for our nails done, Christmas dinner at Etrusco, cinema, Escape and lots of lunches and dinners out.

But the highlight was our South Island tour. We hit the road on 11th January and did the Beaumont Jet Boat in Alexandra, Cherry Picking in Cromwell, Puzzling World and the Lavender Farm in Wanaka, Twizel Salmon farm and Sushi, Star Gazing at Mount John in Tekapo, hot pools, pies in Fairlie, shopping in Christchurch, a wildlife harbour tour in Akaroa where we saw so many dolphins, the Antarctic Centre in Christchurch and then a quick stop at Cookie Time before the long drive back to Dunedin.

During the term we have celebrated Chinese New Year, Easter, 4 birthdays for Nina, Chloe, Chelsea and Ploy, we have cooked Hotpots and had dinner at Lone Star and Ice creams from Rob Roy's - in short, some fun has been had by us all!

I am so proud of these girls!! The are so resilient given the global climate we are living in and the continued uncertainty and I know term 2 will see us have some more adventures.
