Chapel Matters

May God bless us with discomfort at easy answers, half-truths and superficial relationships, so that we may seek truth boldly and love deep within our hearts.

May God bless us with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of others, so that we may work for justice, freedom, and peace among all of Creation.

May God bless us with tears to shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger, war, and loss, so that we may reach out our hands to comfort them and turn their pain into joy.

May God bless us with enough foolishness to believe that we can make a difference in this world, so that we are able, with God’s grace, to do what others claim cannot be done.

And the blessing of God our Creator, Jesus who is our brother and Saviour, and the Holy Spirit who is our Advocate and Guide, be with us this day and forevermore. Amen.
