Tolcarne News

Kia ora Tolcarne whanau. After welcoming everyone back from the long weekend, we were straight into another busy week. The Year 13s had fun dressing to a different theme every day, which we loved seeing! It is crazy to think this was their last full week of 'proper' school. The end of year is now feeling closer than ever!

I finally got around to finishing our 2022 Ski Trip video! If you would like a look into our weekend, make sure to check this out below  It brought back lots of fun memories, bring on next year at Coronet Peak!

We also have some news to share about Tolcarne entering the Business South Business Awards for 2022. The category we entered was the 'Business Integrity Award' and we are a finalist in this category. Our entry was about the courage culture that we have developed and grown at Tolcarne. We are looking forward to attending the finalist award gala dinner on November the 18th!

On Tuesday we headed out to St Clair, enjoying some hot chips at the beach and making the most of the sunny weather. With 'chip butties' and other snack essentials, it was the perfect way to spend our afternoon!

Thursday rolled around which meant it was time for our Leavers' Dinner. It was such a special night, celebrating all of our Year 13 students and everything they have achieved over their time at Tolcarne. 

There were of course plenty of laughs, lots of reminiscing, a few tears, but overall a very happy looking bunch of students ready to take on their next adventure. 

Ross and the Kitchen Team did a fabulous job of preparing a feast for our guests, so a massive thank you to them! There was no going hungry, with various options to suit all. Also well done to Georgie and Kaylee, for helping to make the night so special and such a success!

We are excited for this group to start their next journey, 'life after Tolcarne'. However, their vibrant energy and humour will certainly be missed! All the best to our class of 2022, we can't wait to see the adventures you head on and what the next chapter will involve 

On Sunday we have our Grandparents High Tea. With over 100 people coming, Robyn is busy preparing to host the grandparents at Tolcarne  And on Monday we are looking forward to hosting our first ever Tribe Carnival. This is a very exciting event and we can't wait to share what we get up to! Have a fabulous weekend everyone. Ma tē wā
