Library News

This month, the library provides senior students with a quiet space for study as they prepare for exams. Students sit dotted around the tables, paperwork spread far and wide. Teachers come and go, offering last minute tutorials to tidy up loose ends. It is a quiet, productive work environment.

Amongst the busy-ness of exams, however, the library continues to serve students by reminding them of the place of literature in their lives. A wide range of books continue to be issued in the midst of the discipline and focus of exam time. We know that ‘balance is better’. When we are able to park our academic priorities for even a minute or two, and sink into a moment of reading for pleasure, we find ourselves returning to our area of study with renewed vigour, sense of purpose and direction.

So colour your life with books! We have so many new titles available in our displays and as always, there is something here for everyone! Our recent acquisitions include rainbow friendly fiction, Māori perspectives, graphic novels, romance, short stories...you name it, we've got the book for you!
