SHCS 3rd XI Hockey

The hockey season is underway with competition nights being Monday and Tuesday. Games can be any time between 4.40pm and 8.40pm.

The 3rd XI has started very well with 3 wins from 4 games. Capably captained by Georgie Lawson and Luana Ashton (who play in the front line and ably supported by Iranui Keenan and Anna Carswell in the halves) the team have enjoyed success. This is due to building on patterns and partnerships from the last few years, and a real sense of fun that comes from playing together. Madi Baker has been a star in the goalie position, being new to hockey this year, Madi has been a reliable and skillful goalie.

The next game is a top of the table clash with the classy, well coached Year 10 A team. Molly Loe and Brooke McAlwee have this well oiled team running sweetly, but we are confident we can cause an upset!!

The season re-commences after Queen's Birthday and goes for 5 weeks into Term 3. If the TV is no good on a Monday night, get on down to the turf and support the 3rd XI Hockey team.
