Tolcarne News

Kia ora Tolcarne whanau. On Friday evening some of our school and hostel staff attended the Business South Awards. Tolcarne was a finalist for the 'Integrity' Award, which we won! We are so proud of our courage culture that the staff have been leaning into, developing our overall integrity in the workplace. Thank you to everyone for all of your support 

This week we started our Christmas activities, filling prep time with a range of different crafts and baking options.

On Tuesday we had gingerbread decorating and Christmas angels. I was in the kitchen, watching all sorts of iced creations being made, while Robyn showed the juniors how to make the cutest 'peg angel' decoration for their Christmas tree 

We continued making angels on Wednesday night, also designing a variety of Christmas themed cards. It has been lovely having time to enjoy slowing down, which certainly makes the end of year feel that much closer!

On Wednesday evening we farewelled our final prep supervisor, Olivia. Olivia has worked for us over the past 3 years, so we are going to miss her smiling face during prep next year! The juniors organised a special supper as a thank you and final goodbye 

With only a handful of school days to go, we will be heading off on the summer holiday break in no time! Enjoy the weekend ahead and we will see you back for Week 7 on Sunday  Ma tē wā
