St Hilda's Collegiate School

Kia ora katou,

It is with pleasure that we can relate that we will no longer be having to wear masks at school.

The mask mandate has finished which, while a necessary measure, is still a relief for everyone. We have been grateful for the Board and community's support with the mask mandate for the first few weeks this term, which definitely assisted staff and student wellbeing and kept absences low.

We have been appreciative of the way our akonga have been thoughtful and positive with their mask wearing and they have considered other members of their community.

Assemblies and Chapels, lessons and meetings are all a little easier, expression freer and communication improved.

We have removed the plastic guards/shields in the reception areas, and the signage and tape around the school and are looking forward to rebuilding and enjoying connections.

Ngā mihi nui

Jackie Barron
