Year 8 Lockdown Art

Prior to lockdown the Year 8s had begun to explore portraiture through drawing, learning about facial features, proportion and shape. During lockdown we have explored portraiture through abstraction and particularly the cubist work of Pablo Picasso. The focus for this was on creative thinking and fragmentation of facial features. They were also set a challenge to recreate one of Picasso's portraits with anything of their choice found around the house.
