Library News

Hello, I hope you are all well. I’m hopeful that we will be back in the library soon, but in the meantime here are some recommendations for any readers who enjoy stories told through diaries and letters (epistolary novels). All of these can be found as eBooks or Audiobooks on our Wheelers platform!

Fiction:

- Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life by Rachel Renee Russell. This series is super popular in the library and might be fun to listen to as an audiobook, even for people who have already read the print version.

- Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney. Another very popular series! These would be quick reads, and might be comforting to younger students who are unsettled and seeking something familiar.

- The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot

- Homeroom Diaries by James Patterson

- Illuminae by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff - this one is set in space and would be great for any sci-fi/adventure fans!

- Dear Martin by Nic Stone - fans of The Hate U Give might enjoy this one.

- Monster by Walter Dean Meyers - another one for fans of THUG or for anyone who is interested in the criminal justice system.

Students might also like The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, which is not a novel, but is a powerful and important read.
