Health and Safety

Hot Water Bottles

Please, do not send your child to school with a hot water bottle.

We have a warm winter uniform and a good heating system in all areas of the school. Carrying a receptacle containing boiling water is a potential hazard and also irritating should it leak. Some students have wanted to refill these from our student kitchen urn; an extremely dangerous undertaking with a huge burn risk.

DO NOT send your child with a hot water bottle.

Picking up your child at the end of the day

We respectfully ask that you observe the parking limitations around the school at the end of the school day. In particular, we ask that you do not double park in Cobden Street. This is dangerous for pedestrians and road users alike.

We appreciate that parking is not ideal, but if you could leave it five minutes, arrange another pick up area in a safer place along Royal Terrace, or ask your child to walk to Moana pool, five minutes away and arrange a pick up it would be safer for the whole community.
