Junior Service Day

Today we held our Junior Service Day at school. The aim of this day is to serve Anglican Family Care and other community organisations in the lead up to Christmas.

Students were in their whanaungatanga groups, rotating through five different activities here at school:

  1. Town Belt Clean Up - walking to various locations to spend some time picking up rubbish in our local town belt area
  2. Kinetic Sand and Calm down bottles - making these items for the Anglican Family Care play therapy and social work teams
  3. Christmas Card Making - for the “Sending Love” organisation
  4. Christmas Decoration Making - boxes of decorations for Leslie Groves Retirement Home
  5. Christmas Wrapping Paper - creating different papers to be used for gift and families of Anglican Family Care.

This was a lovely chance for students to give back to the community and spread the Christmas joy. Thank you to all involved, your efforts will help make someones Christmas a little brighter this year
