Chapel Matters

Last Sunday we had the Carol Service here at school. It was a well-supported event and everyone sang with great gusto! It was super having so many families here, and I think both the PFA shared dinner beforehand and the opportunity for Y7&8 families to look through classrooms, helped with that! It was lovely having the orchestra play, even though the choir was more limited this year than in the past. Mrs Barron read a beautifully illustrated book called “Silent Night” and we had lots of students involved in doing the readings and also being the Three Kings during the carol “We Three Kings” (thanks to Jess Wilden, Emma Collett, and Lucy Higelholt-Martyn)!

It is good to remember that despite the uncertainties and stresses of this year, especially in relation to Covid 19, that we can take strength and comfort in the rhythms and rituals of the Church calendar, and the message of Christmas: that God can bring hope, peace, joy and love into our lives at any time.
