Junior Sports Week

Every year during week 6, our Year 9 & 10 girls participate in the Otago Secondary School Sport Association's Junior Sports Week. It is an opportunity for those that play in a weekly sport to come together and play schools from Dunedin and Otago.

On Wednesday our Volleyball teams played down at the Edgar Centre.  Both teams started off with games against Kavanagh and Cromwell. All the girls had a great day and learnt a lot about serving, blocks and diving on the floor! Our Year 9 Team are heading to Junior South Islands on Sunday and we wish them all the best for that.

Thursday saw our Touch and Renegade Hockey teams taking part. Despite the weather not looking flash earlier on in the week, the day turned out to be perfect! Renegade Hockey is a modified 6aside game with a larger ball and stick to the traditional game. The teams had a lot of playing time and they were very tired by the end of day.  At touch, our year 9 &10 teams had fab day building their skills and working together as a team. In the final matches of the day, the year 10's played Columba and our 9's played Otago Girls so local derby's for all.

Thank you to our coaches for taking the time out of their day to help our girls.
