From the Prefects

The Prefect group are keen to keep in contact during this time away from our physical school. This is the message they have shared with the girls.

We hope everyone is doing well, and taking care of yourselves and your families. This is certainly a pretty unprecedented time that we are all trying to navigate our way through, but it’s important to remember we will all make it out in the end.

The school holidays now begin on Monday (30th of March) with virtual school not starting until Wednesday 15th of April. We think it’s fair to say that we all have a long four weeks ahead of us, and particularly over the next two weeks it’s going to be pretty challenging to find things to occupy our time with.

The Prefect’s have been working on gathering some ideas of what you can get up to during the holidays when we’re all in self isolation, so please see below for a list of activities that you can do and challenges you can take part in over the next month. We’ve also collected some advice around surviving self isolation from the NZ Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience.

If anyone has any questions, concerns or worries about anything then feel free to get in contact with any of the prefect team. We appreciate how challenging times are right now, but for the next four weeks it’s important that we all maintain as much normality in our lives as possible, and try to see this as an opportunity to develop our abilities to adapt to change, be resilient and remain optimistic. All crucial life skills that will serve us well in the future. This isolation period is also a chance to do some of the things we normally don’t have time for in our everyday lives, so let's make the most of it!

Stay strong, stay connected and we will hopefully all see you back at school in another four weeks.
