Languages Department - DELF Exam

On Saturday 29 August, nine of our girls taking French in Years 11 and 12 sat the DELF (Diplôme d'études en langue française) exam. It is a certification of French language abilities for non-native speakers of French.

They have spent time in class with our French language assistante Lydie Leurquin preparing for the exam. While they found the experience of sitting an exam entirely in French with not a word to be seen or heard in English a little daunting, they all performed well, and we expect to have results back in the next month or so.

We are always so proud of the courage shown by the girls who choose to sit this exam, and to come into school on a Saturday for an exam is quite admirable. Well done to Annabel Bilkey, Chelsea Kan, Rosalie Leaper, Mia Des Forges, Bella Gilmour, Lucie Holtz, Anna Hutchens, Courtney Lloyd and Anika Texley.
