St Hilda's Collegiate School

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It was with great pleasure and some satisfaction that we were able to hold our Prizegiving and Leavers Service last week under the current restrictions. Not ideal I know, but the feedback from parents, students and staff was a sense of gratitude that we were still able to undertake and share these events, and that the ability to live stream the activities ensured families were able to feel included.

Because of the ongoing uncertainty around the logistics for each level of the incoming 'traffic light system', and the closeness of any potential changes to the date of the Junior Prizegiving, we are committed to holding the prizegiving as earlier indicated, that is with students and staff only, and families will be able to live stream the event. A link to the live stream will be sent out to whanau shortly before the prizegiving starts.

Thank you to those families who have given us feedback on the live streaming. It is a new skill for our team, and I think we are getting better at it! One of the silver linings of COVID19 - the new skills and strategies that we are learning and developing.

We look forward to enjoying the last two weeks with our students, and reflecting on a year that has provided multiple opportunities for growth, innovation and engagement.

Nga mihi nui
