Waterpolo South Island Intermediate Championships

This term, our St Hilda’s Year 7/8 water polo team participated in the intermediate South Island competition held here in Dunedin. Leading up to this tournament, the girls had worked extremely hard, developed their skills and waterpolo abilities. They have improved hugely as individual players and as a team. The girls placed 11th in the tournament and we were extremely proud of them all; their efforts and energy they brought to each game.

Over the duration of the tournament the girls have bonded, grown, and built a new level of confidence to their game. As a team, the girls played some exceptional waterpolo and should be well and truly proud of. We look forward to the new and growing talent that these girls will bring to the senior teams in the future.

Thanks must go to the coaches Luana Ashton, Olvia Brown and Mr Kyle Forde for all their time, advice and encouragement.
