St Hilda's Collegiate School

Te Karaka Manu - Term 2 Week 4

Kia ora parents and whānau,

What a pleasure it was on Thursday to welcome prospective students and families to school and Tolcarne. We are always happy to show our school community to visitors and our current students and Year 13 guides did a fantastic job, both at school and at Tolcarne. Occasions like this are great as they allow us to think about all the wonderful things we hold dear at St Hilda’s. Even though the Dunedin weather did not supply the sunshine we had hoped for, our visitors were able to get a good sense of who we are.

Today, we have been festooned in pink, celebrating and acknowledging Pink Shirt Day and the importance of inclusion, diversity and belonging, not only in our school, but in society generally. The decorated archway and the sea of pink was a fantastic way to end the week.

Kia pai tō rā whakatā
