Parents Cyber Safety Evening

Kia ora koutou,

Last year's consultation about student phone use has prompted us to run an information evening to support parents/caregivers in navigating the online world.

We are co-hosting (with Otago Girls High school) a cyber safety evening called 'Our Kids Online ', run by Rob Cope, and we strongly encourage you to come along to increase your understanding about how to keep your children safe online. 

Topics will include:

• Understanding the harms our kids are facing online in relation to cyber bullying, predators, pornography, gaming, social media and the 24/7 switched on effect on the developing brain
• Learning what to do when your child has been exposed to something harmful

Location: Otago Girls' High School - 41 Tennyson Street, Dunedin

Date: Thursday the 25th of May 2023

Time: 6pm - 8pm
