Tolcarne News

Kia ora Tolcarne whānau. Over the weekend we were very busy with our activities. On Saturday evening we headed to Forsyth Barr, watching the Highlanders take on Fiji. We were excited to witness their win, along with doing lots of socialising with the other schools and enjoying rugby snacks!

Sunday morning rolled around and it was a sunny, still morning - perfect paddle boarding conditions! We headed down to Watercooled Sports, where everyone had a go paddle boarding on the harbour. This was an awesome activity and great way to start the day. See the video here for more of an insight into our morning.

On Tuesday we headed Tenpin bowling after school. This was a great way to spend a cold afternoon, competing against each other to get the most points on the board. We saw every technique possible, with a few strikes, spares and of course, gutter balls!

That evening we had the hotly contested 'My Flat Rules' competition. The standard was high this year, with various meals made from the mystery ingredients. Some highlights included, a roast, beetroot hummus, cheese twists, tiramisu and beetroot chocolate brownie. Well done to all of the flats involved, putting a lot of time and effort into cooking and presentation! Congratulations to Desert Flat for taking out the win for Term 1

We have now reached the final weekend for Term 1 - craziness! We hope you all have a relaxing few days before the final week of school. Ma tē wā
