We are back after a lovely long weekend break! On Tuesday after school we headed on a wee 'road trip' around some of our Dunedin hot spots. We visited Rob Roy, Baldwin Street and took in the view from the top of Signal Hill!

On Tuesday evening we had Koru for the Year 10s. This week we played the 'traffic jam' game, having to use team work to complete the challenge. Following this activity we discussed 'failure', what this can look like and the fact it is okay to 'fail' at times. Everyone was extremely open and we shared experiences where we thought we had failed, realising it is a whole lot more normal that we may have thought! To finish, each student said 'it is okay to fail', giving themselves permission to minimise this pressure

With the Year 9s we finished looking at the movie 'Inside Out', in relation to different emotions we may feel. We all shared what emotion we think leads our 'Headquarters' and how at times, there can be more than one taking over! We finished the session and started up Flexi Prep. Robyn had the students getting started on knitting their new pom pom hats - the perfect addition to any winter wardrobe!

This weekend the juniors have the opportunity to head out to Larnach's Castle. This will be a great day out, exploring the gardens and inside the castle itself! We hope you all have a fantastic weekend break before another busy week
