First XV Rugby VS Southland Girls High School

St Hilda's First XV Rugby were stoked to host Southland Girls High School in a preseason match at Alhambra-Union Rugby Club. Following a 28 all draw in 2021 this match held great significance for setting the standard for 2022.

Played in front of a huge crowd of supporters, our nineteen available players enhanced their reputations as resilient competitors willing to dig deep to support one another. In slippery conditions, the resilience was evident in the defensive effort which denied Southland Girls High from posting any points across the sixty minutes. One try in each of the first three quarters along with two conversions equated to the 19-0 result in favour of St Hilda's.

Each player made a positive contribution to the match and it is this collective effort and positivity that makes this such a great team to be a part of. It is not too late to join our playing roster, please see Mr Bradfield if you would like to join.
