Congratulations to students Sophie Beardmore, Olive Fulton, Anna Gent, Alice Graham, Sylvie Harper and Lila Howley from band The Sapphire Skies who have made it through to the Rockquest Final.

On another note, the annual Green Island Competition Society's Annual May Vocal Competitions were on at the weekend. In one of the bigger sections, the contemporary recital (15-18 age group), competitors had to sing 2 pieces back to back. St Hilda's student Amelie Warlow placed first, with Gabrielle Chisholm second. Congratulations to both of these performers.

The music month of May has also seen our Creatives in Schools - Abby Wolfe started her time working with our students. We are fortunate to have Abby at St Hilda's as a mentor to our music students in Year 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Abby will be with us until midway through Term 3 when we will have a listening party and Q&A with parents/caregivers. Please see Abby's bio below.
