Pacific Trust Otago – Toa Scholarship

Aleece Hosking has recently been awarded a Pacific Trust Otago – Toa Scholarship. The awarding panel commented that: ‘We received many applications from inspiring Pasifika young people and have been truly humbled by the work and commitment you all demonstrate towards your studies, family, and community. The panel were particularly impressed by the variety of extracurricular activities you are engaged in. We hope your aspiration to explore a nutrition degree is lasting. There is a definite need for more Pacific nutritionists and dietitians.’

Aleece has also accepted a place on Rangatira mo āpōpo/ Future Leader’s Academy Programme 2023. Aleece will be travelling to Samoa in October with other New Zealand and Australian student leaders. There, she will be working on gaining life-long leadership skills within a cultural setting in the Pacific Islands.
