National Figure Skating Championships

Lucie Holtz (Year 11) competed at the New Zealand National Figure Skating Championships over Labour weekend. Lucie and her partner Tim Bradfield, who attends John McGlashan College, competed in the Advanced Novice grade in Ice Dance. On top of what was a difficult year for everyone, they added to the challenge by advancing two grades this season, knowing that they could risk not qualifying for Nationals. Their hard work and determination paid off, and they came away with the gold medal. Well done Lucie!
