Library News

Last week we learned that we were the runners up in the Out on the Shelves schools display competition! Out on the Shelves is a part of InsideOUT, a national charity whose vision is for “all rainbow young people in Aotearoa New Zealand to have a sense of belonging and safety in their schools and communities.” I am very proud and happy to have our display acknowledged as I have enjoyed working with students from the QSA and some keen librarians to build our collection of rainbow literature and create displays promoting Pride in the library this year.

Thanks very much to the students who have contributed and also to Out on the Shelves for the important work that they do.

Library stocktake is coming up in a few weeks so it is time to get those overdue books back! All students should have recently had a notice sent out telling them which books are due. It is especially important for seniors who are soon to go on study leave (particularly Year 13 students) to return their books before they go. Thank you.
