Winter Sport is finally underway!

The past week has seen most of our winter sports get underway. Despite the chilling temperatures this week, our athletes still went out and played with loads of excitement and pride. It was also our first chance to see a new strip being worn with the new SHCS blue.  

Cross Country:

Cross Country racing is also taking place over the next few weeks. On Tuesday the Logan Park Road place was on which saw several students participating in the 2.5km run. Well done to Zara Geddes who came first in the senior girls with a run of 10.05.8. Megan Foster and Julz Hastie also finished 5th in their age groups.  

Cross Country events coming up: Caversham Relay 27th May, Otago Cross Country 10th June.  Please see Mr Harris for information.

Touch:

Congratulations to Brooke McAlwee, Gemma Rowcroft and Jaymee Meffan for being named to trial for New Zealand Age Group teams to compete in the Trans Tasman Touch Series.

Swimming:

The Otago Secondary Swimming Champs is coming up on 30th May, entries need to be done my midnight Monday 24th.
