Southern Steel visit and Sporting Updates

Yesterday, the school was lucky enough to have Kiana Pelasio and former St Hilda's girl Kate Heffernan come and visit our 7&8 netballers. The girls had a great time learning new netball movements of pivoting, up to go backs and rolling. The session was finished with a quick reaction game and question time, this of course was followed by selfies and photos with Kiana and Kate. A great way to finish the afternoon.

SISS Triatlon & Duathlon:

Last Sunday two SHCS girls were lucky to have their event continue after a wait around alert levels. Sophie Shallard and Maddie Cockburn competed in the SISS Tri & Duathlon in Oamaru. Both girls finished 2nd in their senior and intermediate sections. Well done!

Volleyball: Our Senior A Volleyball team participated in the Otago Senior Volleyball Champs at the Edgar Centre.  The team of 12 have been improving their skills leading into the tournament so it was great to see them having a great time on court.  The team are looking forward to attending the SISS Satellite Tournament in Christchurch to continue their development.
