Tolcarne News

It is incredible how fast Term 1 is flying by - before we know it the holidays would have rolled around!

It was a very quiet few days at Tolcarne last weekend. Most girls headed home after their P.E camps, or were off to make the most of the sunny weather!

On Tuesday the juniors were busy with touch, hockey and golf. The remaining Year 9s headed off to Rob Roy with Isla, treating themselves to delicious ice creams in the sunshine! It was a good opportunity to head out, taking a look at some different stores around town and relaxing under the trees by the Otago Museum. As the winter months approach, we are starting to think of some more indoor based activities - perhaps Moana Pool and Time Zone may be in store...

We had very exciting news this week, our new tennis court was finished! Wahoo - this is a GREAT new facility which we can't wait for the girls to start using. Over the next few weeks our nets and hockey equipment will arrive, meaning it will be in full swing!

On Sunday and Monday, the Year 12 Boarding Leaders and Year 13 cohort will be lucky enough to participate in sessions with Libby, from Bold and Brave.

Both groups will be focussing on different variations of mindset, learning new strategies and overcoming self-limiting beliefs. The girls are very fortunate to have Libby come in and facilitate her renowned mindset workshops. We look forward to welcoming her over the weekend! Please see the attached Year 12 and Year 13 flyers for more information.

Mrs Rathbone and some of our Tolcarne girls are at the Wanaka Show this weekend. Make sure to pop in if you are around, they would love to see you!
