The Arts Department

Term 4 has been a busy term for the creatives, with the Year 13 students putting in some long hours finishing their boards ready for assessment. This year we sent a record number of 52 boards to Wellington. This is a mammoth undertaking for students and staff alike. Thank you everyone for your hard work and commitment to fully completing these boards.

Thank you Lily Knox and Stella Rathbone, our 2022 Arts Prefects for guiding and supporting the arts within the school. We have been very lucky to have you both. I have valued your initiative and enthusiasm for the art community here at St Hilda's and I wish you all the best for your future endeavors.

Thank you to all the wonderful students who have shared something creative with the school community this year. It is so much appreciated.

2023 will see a few changes in the Extra-Curricular Arts. We have a new Choir Director, Amelia Mah. Amelia will be directing our Junior (Nga Korimako) and Senior (Sings Hilda) choirs and more information will be available early next year.

We are excited to announce that we have scheduled a musical for the beginning of Term 3 and will be holding auditions early next year. Please keep an eye out for the details!
