Board of Trustees

Well we have made it to the end of the 2021 School year! This past Term has seen our School community having to adjust to events being re-organised, postponed, cancelled, done in a different way, held in a different venue, on and on it goes and perhaps fitting that we watched a Prize Giving ceremony via livestream to cap it all off. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to recognise the efforts of our Staff to try and keep the events, trips, ceremonies, services and other occasions going as close to normal as possible, all the while dealing with regulatory uncertainties and being ready to make last minute changes. At the same time, they have been very aware of maintaining important routines for the students and supporting senior students through the exam season. To all our Staff, thank you.

New Zealanders love to travel and it is likely this summer that many of us will travel far and wide around our country. This season, such widespread travel will bring some concerns and uncertainties to our communities. While acknowledging that, we know that we have taken and continue to take precautionary health measures, both as individuals and on a community basis. This will stand us in good stead.

We know that 2022 is going to bring some new challenges, both in School life and no doubt in our own personal lives. Our ability to maintain a strong School community will be very important in supporting our students to deal with any and all challenges. Thank you for your support in this - all good things start in the home.

Christmas is always a good time to focus on our families, to look out for each other and to cherish the time we can spend together - perhaps this year more than ever. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and a restful and relaxing holiday season.
