We are really excited to have completed our move into our new Library, all set for its official opening in 2024! It has been a big couple of weeks, with so many people involved in this project.

I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our Year 8 class who so capably transported tens of thousands of books by hand to ensure our collection made it over to the new Library in one piece. To the Student Librarians - absolute gems - who gave so much of their own time during their breaks to assist me in presenting the collection in an organised manner after its initial shift: thank you! Mrs Sharon Ritchie played a pivotal role too, listening and offering collegial support to help bring conceptual ideas to life in a practical way. Thank you too to all those staff members who have popped in to share in the excitement, to help me lift something, or connect something, or to deliver coffee and moral support! I really appreciate the way our people are open to new initiatives, respond in a positive way, and take the opportunities offered to them to share their feedback, all of which I find invaluable in creating a relevant and user-friendly Library for this community.

I look forward to welcoming you all into our new Library next year. Happy Christmas from the Library - may each of you find a book under the tree labelled yours!
