Staff Farewell

Languages Department

Nadia Ruiz joined us in Term 3 of 2019 when Alison Bromley went on maternity leave, and continued on with a Year 9 Spanish class for the remainder of the year once Mrs Bromley had returned. We are sad to farewell her this week as she leaves to take on a new position teaching Spanish at King's High School.

We are grateful for the commitment had to our students, and the wealth of knowledge she shared with both students and teachers about language, culture and customs. Our knowledge is all the more richer for it. We wish her the very best as she embarks on a new adventure.

Technology Department

The Technology department would like to wish a fond farewell to Mrs Jo O’Neill, who has taught the Year 11 Food and Nutrition class, as well at the Year 12 Food module this year.

Mrs O’Neill has brought her enthusiasm and passion for teaching to these classes, providing relevant and interesting programs of learning to her classes. One such example was the “Master Chef” challenge, where the Year 11 students had to show their creativity and talent to develop a recipe from a mystery box of ingredients, within 2 hours.

Mrs O’Neill also worked with the PFA to upgrade the equipment and resources in the Food Technology room, which will benefit students for years to come. Mrs O’Neill will be missed by the staff and students in the Technology department and we wish her all the best for her summer break with family and friends.
