Board of Trustees

Perhaps it's just me, but this Term seems to have gone by very quickly. Yet another term where we as a community have had to adapt our lives to changing circumstances with the ongoing pandemic. All in all I believe that the School has come through this period well and hopefully we will continue on the downward slope with infections.

The move to hybrid learning for the Senior School was probably the circuit breaker that was needed to prevent the evolving situation taking a greater toll on the health of students and staff and on school life in general. In this regard, I would like to thank the Principal and the Senior Management Team for their leadership and hard work throughout the term and in particular in preparing for the hybrid learning period. A great deal of preparatory work starting back in January, together with learning from previous experience, went into ensuring that the School was able to cope seamlessly with whatever situations we were confronted with throughout the term. In addition, the School is regularly re-assessing if and how school events/trips/celebrations can be held under whatever restrictions are in force at any time.

As parents of daughters in Years 12 & 13 are aware, a date for the Senior Formal has been announced. This is a highlight on the calendar for the Y12/13 cohort and hopefully it can go ahead as planned - if only for the sanity of the parents. On behalf of the Board, I wish everyone a restful break.
