Parents & Friends Association

Welcome to all our families that have started their St Hilda’s journey in 2022, due to COVID constraints the PFA have not been able to proceed with some of our activities to welcome new families but are hopeful we can look to do something a bit further into the year.

The SHCS PFA meets once a month, on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm and is open to all parents and caregivers. Meetings for Term 2 are 18th May and 15th June.

This year we are progressing with incorporating online attendance to our meetings, as much as the preference is to meet in person, we are hopeful that this will provide the opportunity for those out of town to join the PFA if they wish, and local members who maybe unable to attend due to isolation or similar.

At the start of the year, the PFA appreciated the opportunity to cater for the new boarders’ parent’s morning tea post dropping off girls to Tolcarne. This was a different approach to previous years but based on feedback worked well and as always it is wonderful to meet some of the new and returning faces.

In previous years we would now be at the stage of wrapping up from a successful bi-annual Fair. However, this year we are planning something a bit different for our main fundraising, so mark out your diary for Saturday 6th August for a fun Gala evening. More information will be sent out in Term 2. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to join this organising committee, to assist with sourcing sponsorship, marketing, and event planning. If interested, please contact our PFA Fundraising Coordination - Linh Ashton 021 800 859.

As Term 1 ends the PFA wishes all families & staff a relaxing break that incorporates a few stat holidays allowing families to spend more time together.

If you are interested in joining the PFA or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us pfa@shcs.school.nz
