Year Nine Orientation Week

Last week’s Year 9 Orientation went well, with great weather and students mixing throughout the week. Activities ranged from escape rooms, Hikoi around Dunedin city, itinerant music concert, quizzes, and a house sports day. Although cancelled due to weather, we are looking at doing the planned Town Belt Traverse trip at a later date this year.

On Friday they took part in the annual 'fun sports day'. This event includes competing in a gumboot throw, archery, team building, exciting relays and tug-of-war.

Students were able to bond within their house groups and compete at the chant off. Well done to Havelock who won this feat with overall enthusiasm and originality, and who also won the House tug of war!

Great work girls
