PE - Uniform Expectations

A reminder to students regarding PE Uniform at school.

Students need to get changed out of their PE uniform if they have had a PE class. They cannot stay in their PE gear all day.

The exceptions to this are:- have Performing Arts or PE straight after your lesson - have PE Period 4 and then a lunchtime sports practice- are competing in a game or competition for school and have to leave school early e.g. St Hilda's cricket match (these names are emailed to staff and the Student Office). - If students have PE Period 5 they are able to leave school in the correct PE school uniform which is St Hilda's PE T-shirt/dry-fit/hoodie, black or blue shorts, running shoes.

Please remind students to ensure they do pack ALL of their school uniform.

If students have any questions about this, they can chat to Mrs Grant or their PE teacher.

Beep Test Record Breakers

Congratulations to the following St Hilda's Physical Education record breakers this week:

Year 7 Matilda Brown level 10.8 beep test

Year 10 Kiki Nepe level 11.5 beep test

Both of these records had been held since 2005.

Fantastic mahi girls!

Year 7 & 8 Cricket - Yeah Girls! Programme

In our Year 7 & 8 Physical Education classes, we have had the privilege of having Otago Cricket take their Yeah Girls! programme at school. This programme aims to promote cricket as a fun game for all abilities which we feel it certainly did achieve.

Our students were able to showcase and build their cricket skills whilst continuing to build connections with one another. We would like to thank Isy, in particular for taking these sessions and sharing her valuable insights into the game of cricket.
