Kia Ora Whānau

As we make our way into the colder and crisper Autumn mornings it pays to start taking a coat to school and wearing more layers to avoid getting that annoying cold or cough. I have forgotten how cold it can be walking to school down the bush track!

It has been a busy Week 6 with numerous different activities happening around Tolcarne.

Last week, there was no Year 9 Koru due to having Week 6 check-ins with students.

Last weekend was the Wānaka A & P show. It was a weekend full of sunshine, catching up and connecting to new and old family and whānau. Robyn and Mrs Barron set up the tent beautifully and it was so wonderful to have Lilly Anderson, Samantha McLean and Charlotte Mavor as Tolcarne represents. Ka pai girls, thank you for helping out.

A group of Year 9 students had an adventurous weekend down at Sandfly Bay with Bex. It looks like you all had a lot of fun tobogganing down the sand dunes and walking along the beach. What an awesome way to explore and get out to enjoy the sunshine. Thank you Bex for organising this. Next week, we look forward to fishing.

This Friday, our rowing students are heading to Maadi Cup. Good luck to everyone involved. If you want to keep an eye out on results, head to our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates or click onto rowinghub.co.nz/livestream for live action.
