Kia ora everyone, welcome back to Term 2!

We hope you all had a relaxing holiday break and enjoyed time together  It was lovely to hear all of the holiday chat, with many adventures being had, pets looked after and catch ups with friends.

We hosted the Year 9 families on Tuesday evening for dinner, with the Dining Room full of chatter. This was a great chance for the parents to connect and get to know each other a little more, while sharing kai with the Tolcarne staff and students.

We were back into normal routine with Year 9 Koru on Wednesday. This term our focus is around emotions and we started the session discussing how it felt coming back after the holidays. Following this activity we had our first 'gratitude circle'. This is a chance for each student to give a chocolate treat to an individual who has done something kind, that they were grateful for. It is always a lovely session, where everyone leaves feeling those warm fuzzies!

We would like to thank our Tolcarne community for the generous donations towards our Pink Ribbon Fundraiser. Your support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to putting together the hamper very soon  More information on raffle tickets and how to purchase these will be available in the next few weeks - so keep an eye on your emails and our social media!

Have a fabulous weekend and good luck to everyone with sport and extra curricular activities. See you back on Monday - Ma tē wā
